Recently, various decision making models using evolutionary computation such as genetic algorithm, genetic programming, evolutionary programming, and evolutionary strategy have been developed and successfully applied to global manufacturing and supply chains optimization. However, weltering in giving perfect mathematical representations and enamored with developing various types of overintricate techniques in solution methods, most researchers have neglected some practical features of global manufacturing and supply chains.

The purpose of this special issue is to promote, exchange, and disseminate information and research results on the advanced evolutionary decision making models. This special issue will address many important problems of interest in this area. Potential topics include, but are not limited to:
